Develop a pilot tracking system for student athletes, which includes progress reports, end of year surveys, and retention rates.

100% of student athletes will be tracked beginning Spring 2004.

Adequate

  1.  Work with Institutional Research to develop a student-athlete database for tracking purposes.

  2. Develop an end of year survey for tracking athletes.  Include aid received, graduation, and transfer info.

  3. Work with the Counselor/Coordinator of Athlete Services and Orientation to refine the progress report system.

  4. Request for athletic department to have control over NCAA code in SIS.

Explore fund raising opportunities in cooperation with the Vice President for Resource Development.

1.  100%     participation from all coaches (head & assistant) in exploring opportunities for fund raising.

2.By June 2003, will have fund raising initiative identified.

  1. Research other community colleges to determine what fund raising activities are in place.

  2.  Explore avenues for receiving grant money for athletics.

  3.  Identify areas to fund with money raised.

  4.  Identify publicity strategies with Office of Public Relations.
