TN-TACF Hike at Pickett State Park

The hike is scheduled for October 10, 2009 Saturday at 12 noon CST.  Meet at the lake picnic area for a “bring your own” picnic lunch with snacks and bottled water provided.  Joe Schibig will lead the hike with American chestnut and chinquapin seen from the trail.  After the ~2.5 mile hike, participants are invited to tour Matt Harris’s farm and chestnut orchard that is probably on the way home off Highway 127.
