

Tennessee Chapter of The American Chestnut Foundation Meeting
The annual meeting of the TN-TACF Chapter was held in the Rochelle Center of the Thigpen Library at Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, Tennessee on January 19, 2008. Power Point slide shows were given on chestnut tree pollination, chestnut orchards, and chestnut research in Tennessee.

VSCC campus.
The Volunteer State Community College Campus is on US Hwy 31E (1480 Nashville Pike), just southwest of the center of Gallatin, TN.
From the East: Take I-40 westbound to Exit 232. Turn right onto TN 109 north toward Gallatin. In the center of Gallatin, turn left onto US 31E south (Nashville Pike) toward Nashville. The Volunteer State Community College campus entrance will be on your right in just a mile or so. (1480 Nashville Pike).
From the West: Take I-40 eastbound to I-65 North. Turn right at Exit 95 onto TN 386 north , which is the Hendersonville by-pass. In 9.5 miles you will merge onto US 31E heading northeast toward Gallatin. The Volunteer State Community College campus entrance will be on your left in about 4 miles.
From the North: Take I-65 South to Tenn Exit 2 (Franklin, Kentucky exit). After exiting, turn left onto US 31W in the direction of Portland, Tennessee; in 2.4 miles, take TN 109 (Ronnie McDowell Parkway) south through Portland in the direction of Gallatin. When you get into the town center of Gallatin, turn right onto US31E in the direction of Nashville. The Volunteer State Community College campus entrance will be on your right in just a mile or so. (1480 Nashville Pike).
