Meeting Minutes

Location: Village Green Clubhouse

Attendees: 12

Discussion:

The following agenda for 2001 was discussed and adopted:

Trees
-Support Paul Sisco with development of state mother tree inventory (Database
and Field Work)
-Train membership with tree identification and pollination seminar in June

Infrastructure
-Attain membership goal of 35 for provisional status by May 10th and 75 for
full chapter status by September 10
-Develop charter
-Organize members by committee
-Nominate and select officers and board

Outreach
-Consider alternatives for statewide involvement of members
-Develop organizational networking plan
-Place informational displays like those provided by Bill Turner at Shelby
Farms at other key locations
-Identify education and public awareness goals

Speaker:
Dr. Hill Craddock, Chairman of TACF Science Cabinet and Professor of Biology
at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga gave an excellent overview of
the chestnut in Europe and America.

Other:
The next meeting will be April 3rd at the Village Green Clubhouse.  Dr. Paul
Sisco, TACF staff geneticist will speak
