The degree to which the outcomes of the primary goals of this course have been achieved will be determined by an assessment of the specific course outcomes. In addition, the course will be assessed by students through faculty evaluations and/or a student opinionnaire to determine student’s perception of the achievement of stated course goals and outcomes.
Problem solving skills and critical skills are not assessed in this course. Communication skills are not assessed directly but these skills are necessary for receiving and giving information.
Outcomes statements will be assessed through skills test, laboratory exercises and class participation. The laboratories will require student participation and will be graded on the lab exercises as well as student participation in these exercises. Class attendance, promptness and dress are other important aspects of the assessment and check lists will be used in determining if these requirements are met.
