Portfolio Requirements

General requirements for your classroom Portfolio are:

Purchase or otherwise lawfully acquire by the second class meeting a three-ring binder with at least a 1½ inch spine.
Purchase or otherwise lawfully acquire by the second class meeting a set of dividers [5]; these will be labeled Syllabus, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Concepts.

Specific requirements include:

Using the three-hole punch in the classroom (or your own, if you prefer), place every document you are required to print, under the appropriate divider in the order these documents appear in the lists below.
In addition to PowerPoint, Word, and Excel documents, as you complete each of the Concepts labs or Practice Tests, place these documents under the appropriate tab. A printed version of your Concepts Tracking Report will also be placed here.

Assessment or your Portfolio includes:

Completeness: Every assignment that is missing [whether it was completed or not] will reduce your Portfolio grade by four points.
Accuracy: For the PowerPoint portion of your Portfolio, your grade will be reduced by the number of actions (keystrokes or mouse clicks) that would be required, at a minimum, to correct the mistake. For every mistake in the Word and Excel portions of your Portfolio, your Portfolio grade for that portion of the course will be reduced one point.
No homework is required to complete this Portfolio; however, absence from class will mean that time allotted for completion of these assignments has been lost. In such a case, you will have to “catch up” portions of your Portfolio on your own time.

These are the documents for the PowerPoint portion of the course. Not all of these documents will be completed. Those that are specifically required to be completed and filed under the PowerPoint Tab of the Portfolio will be identified in class:

You will receive a complete list of all documents required in your Portfolio for your particular section.
