What Library Services are available at off-campus sites?
|
Students at McGavock will have access to the high school library.
They also have access to
the
VSCC online catalog
and
online databases. |
Livingston Center has a small reference collection, some current
periodicals, access to the online catalog and other electronic resources.
These students may use the library at Tennessee
Technological
University in Cookeville. |

Library users at the off campus sites may request
books or
periodical articles from the Volunteer State Campus Library.
Books will be delivered, and articles will be faxed to the
appropriate

What do I need to know about borrowing
books?
|
|
A valid updated VSCC borrower's card must be
presented
at the Circulation Desk to check out books or
audiovisuals and
to use materials placed on reserve. If you do not have one,
go to the
Circulation Desk. Your signature is required to validate your
card. Your card is valid during each semester that you
are a student. |
You may check out a total of ten books at one time, and
you may
keep books for two weeks. We ask that you be considerate of
other
patrons who may also need to use our resources. |
Provided that no one else has requested them, you may renew your
books
twice either in person or by calling the Circulation Desk at
615.452.8600 x3402. Please note that there
are fines charged on
overdue materials at $.10 per day.

May I check out periodicals?
|
Periodicals cannot be checked out, but copiers are available for
making copies of articles at $.10 per page.

What if I can't find a particular book or article at my library site? |
Interlibrary Loan or ILL document delivery is a service provided
by the VSCC
Library. This service is a resource sharing service whereby
various academic and public libraries lend materials that are not
available at the borrowing library. Forms for ILL are available by
clicking Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery @ the library's web site
