Using CQ Researcher or Opposing Viewpoints
CQ Researcher - Use this database for issues of current interest from 1991 to the present. It includes a section for Pro/Con and has a bibliography with each topic found. CQ Researcher is also available in print form at H35/.E352.
Opposing Viewpoints - Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center provides a one-stop source for information on social issues. Access is given to viewpoint articles, topic overviews, statistics, primary documents, links to websites, and full-text magazine and newspaper articles.
Where can you access CQ Researcher or Opposing Viewpoints databases?
If you are using a campus-networked computer, go to
E-Resources on the
Library Webpage (http://www.volstate.edu/library)
and choose "Library access" for the database that you want to use.
If you are at home, choose "EZ Home
Access."
The EZ Home Access screen allows you to
enter your VSCC username (same as for e-mail)
and your password.
