Pit #3 is believed to be a command post that held 68 Generals and a few
horses. Notice the depth of
the soil that eventually covered the pit.
The depth in places is more than 20 feet deep.
It's no wonder that the Terra-cotta Warriors were lost to the
ages - the sands of time simply erased this moment from the mind.
