This
pit has only limited excavation completed.
The revealed portions lead archaeologists to believe it is filled
with Cavalry, Charioteers and Infantry, Reserve Chariots, and Standing
and Kneeling Archers. If
you look carefully, you can see the backs of horses in the center of
this photograph. (Sorry, I know it's a bad photograph but I had to
take the photo through plexiglass.)
