section begins (Note, however, that the student should have explicitly indicated
this.)
The 'Data/Observations' section is the single most important section of the
report. This is where the raw data that will support or refute your
hypothesis is recorded. You are the eyes and ears for the rest of the
scientific community. You can never have too much detail here.
Notice how the student made a mistake in the weight of Bottle #1 (entry number
eight). She correctly struck it put with a single line and then wrote
the correct value above it. Scientific integrity requires that we don't
try to cover-up mistakes. We admit them and carry on.
