Register by Phone

After you have met with your advisor, use the registration worksheet to plan your schedule. Be sure to list the 5-digit course call number from the printed Class Schedule or Online Class Schedule for each course for which you plan to register.

Note: You might want to develop an alternate schedule in the event of closed classes.

Before signing up for classes, you are strongly encouraged to contact your academic advisor.  If you do not know the name of your advisor, contact the Academic Success Center for help at 615-230-3702 (toll-free: 1-888-335-8722, extension, 3702) or by emailing academic.success@volstate.edu.  Students who do not have a major or are not seeking a degree should contact the Academic Success Center for advising.

1. Access PRIDE by calling (615) 452-4503 or 1-800-390-2302.
    
2. Listen to the menu of options. Press the following numbers on the telephone keypad for menu options:

Press 1 : For Grades
Press 2 : For Registration
Press 3 : For Billing
Press 4 : For Admissions
Press 5 : For Financial Aid
Press *7 : To  Repeat the Menu
Press *9 : To  End the Call

After selecting your menu option, listen to the instructions before proceeding. Follow them exactly. PRIDE will direct you to enter your nine-digit student ID number, which should be your social security number. After you have entered it, PRIDE will read it back to you. If it is incorrect, you will have an opportunity to reenter your number and continue.

3. When PRIDE directs you to enter your six-digit PIN number, please do so. This is your six-digit birth date. Example: May 10, 1967 is 051067.
    
4. After entering your PIN number, listen to and follow all subsequent instructions.
    
5. Press *9 to end the call and complete your transaction.
