Senior Citizen Students
Auditing
If you are 60 years of age or over and a resident of Tennessee, after official registration is completed, you may audit classes with no maintenance charge, providing there is space available and enough non-Senior Citizen students have enrolled in the course for it to be held. Special or lab fees may be charged where required.
In order to enroll you will need to:
- Submit an Application for Admission to VSCC
- Get permission to audit the course from the division chairperson
All senior citizens must verify their age with either a driver's license or birth certificate. You will not receive a grade for the course.
For Credit
If you are 65 years of age and over and domiciled in Tennessee, you may take classes for credit at the reduced fee of 50% per credit hour with a maximum fee of $47.00 providing there is space available and enough non-Senior Citizen students have enrolled in the course for it to be held.
