Can't View Online Presentations?

If you are having trouble viewing the online PowerPoint Presentations, here are some things you can try:

  1. Some students say that they were unable to view the Presentations using the browser FireFox.  If you have that browser, don't use it but use Internet Explorer instead, which you can download free at www.Microsoft.com/Windows.

  2. You may need to ENABLE the Shockwave Flash Object in your browser.  In Internet Explorer, click on TOOLS in the menu bar at the top.  Then click on MANAGE ADD-ONS.  Select "Shockwave Flash Object" and click on ENABLE at the bottom of the window.

  3. Disable the “Pop-up Blocker” in your browser for the online course web site.

  4. Make sure that JAVA is enabled.  In Internet Explorer, click on TOOLS, then INTERNET OPTIONS, then the ADVANCED tab.  Scroll down and check "Enable Java."  Then SAVE your settings, and restart your computer.

  5. Some students had to uninstall UPDATE 11 from their JAVA program.

  6. Others had to download a different version of JAVA and install it (then restart the computer).  You can download JAVA at www.java.com.

If you try all these and are still unable to view the online Presentations, contact your Instructor.
