Book Report Guidelines:
The book report must be at least 5 whole pages long (excluding title page) to get full credit (5 extra points) added to your final score. You should type in Microsoft Word and you may double-space, but use Times New Roman, number 12 font. In addition to the five pages, there should be a title page that will look like this:
Demon Haunted World, Science as a Candle in the Dark
by Carl Sagan, 1996
A Book Report Submitted by John Doe, spring 2008
for BIOL 1010
The deadline for submitting the report is before your last lecture day. Use your own words when you write this report; I will overlook a few misspelled words (spell check should help you with the spelling), and your grammar doesn't have to be perfect, but try to use your best English. You should summarize some of the main points in the book, and in the last paragraph tell me what you liked about the book, if anything, and what you didn't like, if anything. Save it as a file on your computer, then attach that file to an e-mail to me before the deadline.
Demon Haunted World is about Science and the importance of thinking scientifically. It is a great mind-expanding books. You will need to show me the receipt for the book to get the 6 extra points. The cheapest place to buy this book is at Amazon.com--simply do a search for the title of the book at: http://amazon.com/
If you previously did a book report on Demon Haunted World in BIOL 1010, you may do a report on one of the following two books which can be ordered from Amazon.com
